Boipariguda: Death and its uncertainly is the only truth in life. In an extremely unsettling turn of events, a seemingly normal day ended up on a fatal note for a man in Boipariguda block of Odisha's Koraput district here today. Little did Bhagirathi Bhemindi (38), a native of Disariguda village in Boipariguda, know that what looked like a usual day at work would end up in his final moments in a span of minutes.

As per reports, Bhagirathi, a contractual staff of TPSODL, was heading towards Digapur from Boipariguda in the morning when he stopped by the tehsil office to have his breakfast at a roadside eatery. As work was underway to fix up a pole along the stretch, Bhagirathi was in a haste to leave when he got a call. However, while answering the phone, he suddenly collapsed on the ground. Locals nearby rushed him to the hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Though it is suspected that he died of cardiac arrest, official sources informed that the exact cause of death will be ascertained after the autopsy report arrives.

As news spread, a pall of gloom descended on the village.
