10 more cobras rescued in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Multiple incidents of snake rescue in the last three days in Dhamnagar block of Odisha’s Bhadrak district has triggered panic among residents of the area. As many as 10 cobras were rescued today from Kantabania village in Dhamnagar Notified Area Council (NAC).

According to reports, the snakes were rescued from the house of one Gouranga Jena in the village this morning. His son initially spotted two cobras inside the house, following which eight others were found by the family members who put the reptiles inside an earthen pot.

The snake helpline members were later informed about the incident.

It may be recalled here that more than hundred baby cobras were rescued from a house at Paika Sahi in Shyamsundarpur village under Dhamnagar police limits in the district on June 23. A day after, three more cobras were rescued from the same house.
