10 rare parrots, mouse rescued, two held

Forest officials of Pithabata forest range under Baripada Wildlife Division on Wednesday rescued 10 rare species of parrots and a Balari mouse and arrested two persons.
Acting on a tip-off, the forest officials intercepted a Pulsar bike near Rangamatia and rescued these birds and mouse. Later, they arrested Mahesh Kumar Das (27) of Sunahata and Rajesh Kumar Barik (28) of Mansingh market area and seized their bike.

The rescued parrots and the mouse would be released in the Similipal Park after their health condition improves, forest officials said.
