1000 kg ganja seized in Odisha’s Koraput, 3 held

Koraput: Boipariguda Police have seized around 1000 kg of ganja from a pickup van at Doraguda Chhak in Odisha’s Koraput district and arrested three persons in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off about the illegal transportation of ganja in the vehicle, a police team intercepted it and seized the ganja from the pickup van.

The accused have been identified as Arjun Macha of Boiparigida, Mahendra Bag of Jhadiaguda and Khapati Baliputia of Jeypore. A case under section 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act has been registered against the trio.

They will be forwarded to court today, police sources said.
