Bhubaneswar, May 4:
As many as 11 children have fled the Ruchika open shelter in Odisha capital through bathroom skylight of the shelter home after breaking it on May 1.
Though a total of 12 kids had run away from the shelter home during night, one of them was caught from Bhubaneswar railway station. Others are yet to be traced.
A complaint in this regard was lodged at Lingaraj police station by the shelter home authorities yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Khordha Collector has started a probe into the incident.
On the other hand, the district Child Welfare Committee (CWC) today sought a report from the shelter home in this regard within 2 days. Action will be taken after submission of report, the CWC said.
