Bhubaneswar: Daily Covid-19 cases further increased in Odisha with 1196 new infections in the past 24 hours, informed the State Information & Public Relation (I&PR) Department today.
The single-day Covid cases in the state stood above 1100 for the second consecutive day.
Of new positive cases, 699 cases were reported from different quarantine centres and 497 were the local contacts.
Khordha district continued to report the highest number of Covid cases. The district logged 312 fresh Covid cases followed by Sundargarh district with 174 cases and Cuttack district with 109 cases in the last 24 hours.
The tribal-dominated district Mayurbhanj registered above 100 cases raising alarm about the deadly virus.
