12-day-old among 2 babies dies of COVID-19 in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Two more infants, who contracted COVID-19, have succumbed to the virus in the state.
As per the information shared by Health and Family Welfare Department, a 12-day-old baby girl of Cuttack district and a 5-month-old baby girl of Mayurbhanj district died of the deadly virus. The newborn was also suffering from Hemoglobinopathy while the 5-month-old baby had Congenital Acyanotic Heart disease.
Cuttack district reported highest 38 deaths followed by Jagatsinghpur (9) and Dhenkanal (6). Besides, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapada and Jjapur reported 3 deaths each, while Angul and Nabarangpur reported two causalities. Bhadrak, Puri and Keonjhar reported one death each.
Meanwhile, 106 out of the 816 fresh cases recorded in all over the state today were in the age group of 0-18 years.
