Winners of Odisha film weekly ‘Cine Sambad’ quiz felicitated

Bhubaneswar, Aug 30:

Twelve contestants in the city, including eminent Odisha based filmmaker Gadadhar Puty, were felicitated for their performance in a quiz competition organised by ‘Cine Sambad’, the weekly magazine on cinema published by  Eastern Media Limited (EML), at Sambad South Campus here today.

Distributing prizes to the winners, Chairman of Eastern Media Limited and Editor of Sambad Soumya Ranjan Patnaik said, “Readers play an important role for any daily newspaper or weekly. Readers who participate in quiz and other competitions, besides following the write-ups, play an even bigger role in the growth of the publication.”

Patnaik also said, “It is a matter of pride for the EML family that Cine Sambad, within a year of its re-launch in a new-look and reader-friendly avatar, has attracted a large number of readers as one can see from the participation in the competition. I am glad that many youths participated in the event. Among them, 12 have been selected as winners for their regular exposure to the weekly that provides extensive and authentic information on the world of entertainment.”

Among others, the head of EML (Non-print) Swaraj Mishra, ‘Pilanka Sambad’ Editor Dash Benhur, ‘Cine Sambad’ Editor Dhrutikam Mohanty and other staff were present on the occasion.

Priyadarsini Banjyostna, a participant, said she was very happy to get selected as a winner in this quiz competition from among a large number of participants.
