The Odisha government has decided to withdraw 13 check gates, including some of the inter-state check gates, spread across eight districts for free and unrestricted movement of vehicles.
A proposal to this effect was approved by chief minister Naveen Patnaik here today.
The 13 check gates are Bileipada, Champua and Nalda in Keonjhar district, Samarabora in Bargarh, Borigumma and Chatua in Koraput, Dandasara and Raighar in Nabarangpur, Aparajonka in Nuapada, Laxmidunguri in Sambalpur, Taparia and Telijhora in Sundargarh and Surula in Ganjam district.
