Odisha: 8 quintals ganja seized from vehicles including car with beacon

Malkangiri: Around eight quintals of ganja was seized from three vehicles including a car with beacon in Balimela of Odisha’s Malkangiri district, police said today.

Police have arrested five persons in connection with the seizure and forwarded them to court.

Acting on a tip off about the contraband being carried in the vehicles, Malkangiri police conducted simultaneous raids at several places and seized the ganja besides detaining the vehicles.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
