143 more test COVID-19 positive in Odisha taking total count to 2388

Bhubaneswar:  As many as 143 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours taking the total count to 2388, said the Health and Family Welfare Department today.

Of the fresh cases, 11 are local contacts and remaining 132 have been reported from different quarantine centres across the state. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the H and FW Department.

Total 3324 samples were tested yesterday. With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 1054 while 1325 have recovered in the state. So far, seven persons have succumbed to the virus.

Worth mentioning, out of 30 districts in the state, 29 have COVID-19 positive cases.
