Bhubaneswar: Odisha witnessed a spike of 1494 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours . With the fresh cases, the state’s total count rose to to 2,98,768.
Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 867 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 627 are local contact cases. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department today.
Khordha recorded highest 153 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (112) and Balasore (102).
Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 13,789. Besides, 2,83,533 persons have so far recovered from the disease so far.
