Over 15 foetuses were found scattered by the side of the road at Barrage Colony between SCB Medical College and Hospital and Bose Engineering School here on Friday morning.

While some foetuses were found inside glass boxes, others were lying scattered near the road.

The ofetuses were removed from the area after some time.

Residents of the locality have alleged that this could be the handiwork of some private nursing homes in the city, who have been indulging in such illegal acts.

Surprisingly, there has been no investigation into the matter so far. raising suspicion that efforts are on to hush up the matter.
