15 Nizamuddin religious prayer attendees test negative for COVID-19 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today said samples of 22 persons including seven foreigners associated with Tabligh Jamaat in Hazrat Nizamuddin were sent for COVID-19 tests.

Later in the day, government official sources said samples of 15 persons of the total 22 were found to be negative for deadly COVID-19. Test reports of remaining persons were yet to be received by the department, said the sources added.

Out of the 15 persons who tested negative for COVID-19, 12 are from Rourkela and one each from Kendrapara, Cuttack and Ganjam districts.

The sources added that all the 22 persons are in government quarantine currently.

In Delhi, nearly 175 people, who showed symptoms of Covid-19, were taken to different hospitals for tests. They participated in a religious gathering a few days back at Hazart Nizamuddin.
