16k students appear in CBSE Class 12 exam in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The annual Class 12 examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began today with English paper.

A total of 12,08,359 students are appearing for Class 12 at 4,974 examination centres across the country, out of which 7,48,498 are boys and 5,38,861 girls. Total 16,000 students are appearing in the examination in Odisha.

The exam began at 10.30 am. The students were instructed to enter the CBSE examination halls by 10.00 am and the question papers were distributed at 10.15 am giving 15 minutes reading time.

The CBSE examination for Class 10 and 12 began in early February with the non-core subjects. While the exam for the Class 12 core subjects started from today, the CBSE Class 10 exam for core subjects is scheduled from March 5.
