2 clerks caught taking bribe in Odisha

Dhenkanal/Angul: Vigilance officials today detained a clerk of the Settlement Office in Dhenkanal on charges of demanding and accepting bribe.

Sources said clerk Akshay Sahu was nabbed while he was accepting bribe of Rs 16,00 from 12 persons to provide them land Patta. Acting on the complaint lodged by one Babuli Sau, the anti-corruption officials laid a trap and caught the clerk red-handed at his office.

In a similar development, senior clerk Binay Mohapatra of Banarpal Tehsil office in Angul district was caught red-handed while he was taking Rs 1500 bribe this morning.
