2 dead as motorcycles collide head-on in Sundargarh district

Rourkela: Two persons died on the spot tonight at around 8 pm after the motorcycles which they were riding had head-on collision in front of the Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir located at Raiboga Road of Biramitrapur under this police limits in Sundargarh.

The deceased were identified as 24-year-old Ajay Samada of Raiboga-Simako village and 30-year-old Niraja Tani of Pratappur-Bhalulata village in the district.

According to an eyewitness, riders of the two speeding motorcycles (OR-14 L-6289 and OR-14 J-9808) lost control over the ill-fated vehicles and met with accident leading to untimely deaths.

On being informed by some locals, Biramitrapur police reached the spot and seized the bodies and sent it for post-mortem. Police have registered a case in this connection and launched a probe.
