2 killed, 20 injured in bus accident in Keonjhar, Odisha

Keonjhar, Nov 14:

Two persons were killed; two others are critically injured while 18 others have been hurt, after a bus fell down Kuajharana ghat under Pandapada police limits yesterday in Keonjhar district in Odisha.

While one deceased was identified as Prashant Kumar Mishra of Rangila village of Jajpur district, the identity of the other dead could not be ascertained yet.

The bus which was travelling from  Badbil to Jajpur had more than 50 passegers, the accident occured late yesterday night after the driver dozed off and lost balance.

“Two passengers are seriously injured and been admitted to the hospital”, said Dr Komar Mohammad, of Keonjhar DHH.

Locals rushed the injured to the nearby Harichandanpur Hospital and later to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment.

Two of the seriously injured has been shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
