2 killed, 3 injured in lightning in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: At least two persons died while three others were injured in lightning at two separate places in Cuttack district today.

The deceased have been identified as Jaladhar Das of Palada village and Maheswar Kandi of Narajpur Oroti village.

As per reports, two persons were killed after lightning struck them while they were working in a farm land at Palada village under Nischintakoili block in Cuttack district today. However, identity of the deceased duo is yet to be ascertained.

In a separate incident, three persons- Gopal Malla, Jatadhari Lenka and Mandakini Behera were injured in lightning at Ramakrushnapur village in the district.
