2 more COVID-19 deaths in Odisha; toll rises to 23

Bhubaneswar:  Two more COVID-19 patients in Odisha succumbed to the deadly virus taking the death toll to 23, informed state Health and Family Welfare Department  today.

Both the deceased are  male aged  48 and 52  years from Ganjam district. They died while undergoing treatment at COVID hospitals.  With this, the number of deaths in the district mounted to 12.

“Regret to inform that two COVID positive patients (48-year-old and 52-year-old male) of Ganjam district passed away while undergoing treatment in hospital,” said the department. 
Earlier yesterday, 3 patients ( one each from Ganjam, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack) died of the virus.
Meanwhile, 245 persons in the state tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, following which the state’s tally rose to 6859.
