2-yr-old boy drowns inside ‘handi’ in Odisha’s Deogarh

Deogarh: In a highly tragic incident, a two-year-old boy drowned inside a water-filled handi (large pot) at Samantrapali village under Deogarh police limits in the district, today.

According to reports, Prince Sahu, son of Prashant Sahu of the village, was playing near the pot this morning when he fell inside it. He was rescued and rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctor declared the baby dead.

A pall of gloom descended on the locality after the death of the boy. Police have registered an unnatural death case into the incident.
