218 new COVID-19 infections detected in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 218 more persons in Odisha contracted Coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the state’s total caseload to 3,40,620.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 24 districts, 129 have been reported from different quarantine centres while 89 are local contact cases. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department today.

Bargarh district recorded highest 34 fresh cases followed by Nuapada (29) and Sundargarh (26).

Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 1,837 and recovered cases at 3,36,809.
