26 school teachers, two students test Covid positive in Odisha’s Gajapati

Gajapati: A day after schools reopened across Odisha for Class X and XII students, as many as 26 teachers, two students and one employee of schools tested positive for deadly Covid-19 virus in Gajapati district.

Test results show 17 teachers from Mohana block tested positive for the virus whereas 14 others were found infected at the Covid test centre in the District Headquarters Hospital at Paralakhemundi. This was informed by the Chief District Medical Officer Pradip Kumar Patra today.

Adhering to the guidelines, the Gajapati district administration carried out the Covid test of teachers and other employees of schools in the district before the reopening of the educational institutions.

As per reports, Covid test of school students in the district has not be carried out so far.
