2602 fresh COVID-19 cases in Odisha; here’re district-wise details

Bhubaneswar: As many as 2602 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 10,3536 informed the Government.

Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts,  1561 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1041 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Khordha recorded highest 616 cases followed by Cuttack  (236) and  Ganjam (190).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 29,758.   However, 73,233 patients have recovered in the state so far.

It is pertinent to mention here that total  57,877 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 17,89,433 tests have been conducted in the state.
