2604 new COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Another 2604 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the state’s total count to 2,59,541.
Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 1511 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1093 are local contact cases. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 385 fresh cases followed by Angul (216) and Cuttack (209).

In the last 24 hours, 42,167 swab samples were tested while a total of 38,36,825 tests have so far been conducted in the state.
With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 25,428 . However, 2,32,988 patients have recovered in the state so far.
