2854 new COVID-19 cases detected in Odisha in last 24 hrs
Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s COVID-19 tally is nearing 2.5 lakh- mark with 2854 more confirmed cases detected in the state in last 24 hours. The tally now stands at 2,49,693.
Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 1659 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1195 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 393 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (244) and Sundargarh (143).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 28,246. However, 2,20,388 patients have recovered in the state so far.
Total 45,914 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 37,10,592 tests have been conducted in the state.
