2nd in less than 10 days, one more woman’s body found dumped on roadside in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Less than 10 days after the mysterious death of RD Women’s University student Jharaphula Nayak, recovery of another woman’s body with a severed head on roadside in the state capital today has sent shockwaves among the residents.

Reportedly, some locals spotted headless body of the woman on roadside near Dasapur on Bharatpur-Chandaka road here this morning and called up police. However, identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and seized a knife and a pair of gloves from the crime scene.  As per preliminary information, it is suspected that some miscreants have killed the woman with a knife before dumping the body at the site.

The cops have sealed the area and are conducting an on-spot investigation with the help of a forensic  team. Additional DCP and Chandaka police station IIC also visited the spot to take stock.
