Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate police have arrested three persons, including a juvenile, in connection with harassing a young woman and damaging her scooter at Delta Square in Odisha capital during BJD's hartal yesterday.

A case under Sections 143, 147, 294, 323, 354, 341, 506 and 149 of IPC has been registered into the incident at Khandagiri police station and investigation is on, police sources said.

Notably, the protesters were seen hitting her vehicle with a bamboo and stopping her to move ahead staging a road blockade.

Showing immense courage, the woman, who was surrounded by more than ten persons at a moment, raised voice against such rowdy act.

Though a heated exchange of words ensued between her and the youths, the latter couldn’t stop her from heading towards her destination after witnessing the woman’s bravery.
