3 minor girls meet watery grave in Odisha’s Khordha

Khordha: In a tragic incident, three minor girls drowned in a pond while bathing at Boria Sahi under Balugaon police limits in Odisha’s Khordha district today.

The deceased, identified as Rani Sahu (6), Rubi Singh (8) and Archita Biswal, had gone to a pond in the locality to take bath around 12 pm. Unfortunately, the trio slipped into deep water and drowned.

The villagers spotted the bodies floating in the pond, recovered those and rushed to the Balugaon hospital, where doctor declared the three brought dead.

A pall of gloom descended on the village after the mishap.
