30 houses destroyed due to fire in Odisha village

Bhanjanagar, May 11:

As many as 30 houses were reduced to ashes in a major fire that broke out at Harijan Sahi of Panchabhuti village under Jagannathprasad block of Odisha’s Ganjam district.

Reports said property worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the fire that broke out yesterday. However, though the reason behind the fire is not known immediately it was doused by the fire brigade after hours of toil.

Local sources said Panchabhuti village had witnessed group clashes a few days back. Villagers suspect some miscreant might have set the houses on fire due to the previous enmity.
