36 more COVID-19 patients recover in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 36 more COVID-19 patients of Odisha tested negative for the virus and recovered from the disease, official sources said today.

Out of the 36 persons, 23 are from Ganjam, 5 from Jajpur, 3 from Mayurbhanj, 2 each from Puri and Bhadrak, and one from Rourkela, sources added.

With this, the number of recovered persons in the state rose to 343.

Earlier in the day, Odisha reported its sixth death due to COVID-19 while 74 more persons tested positive for the virus yesterday taking the tally to 1052.

The deceased has been identified as a 70-year-old man of Khordha district. He had history of comorbidity  of hypertension and was admitted to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar yesterday with respiratory distress. The septuagenarian breathed his last while undergoing treatment on the very day.
