Prior to their suspension, they were divested of their positions as centre superintendents.

“Three centre superintendents in Keonjhar and one from Sundargarh district have been placed under suspension by their respective district education officers (DEOs) for dereliction of duties and misconduct,” informed BSE President Dakshya Prasad Nanda.

Besides, the board authorities have also lodged police complaints against two individuals—a student for impersonation and a teacher who helped him appear in the examination for another student, sources said.

The examination conducting body received complaints of irregularities during the regular stream English examination on Wednesday where as many as 362 students were booked for malpractice.

It may be mentioned that 299 students were also booked for malpractice on the first day of the examination on Monday.
