Government RailwayPolice s(GRP) ources said the matter came to light after the mother of the lost child Mamata Kamodia, a native of Nabarangpur, lodged a complaint with the GRP here.

Kamodia, who boarded the Nilachal Express from Harayana to Bhubaneswar with his four year son, was in the waiting hall at the station to catch another train to Koraput to reach her destination.

While she was asleep, she had left her son with a nearby lady to keep an eye to her child. But when she woke up after a while, she found that neither her child nor the lady was present inside the waiting hall. Worried about her lost child, Kamodia lodged a complaint with the GRP.

“We have received a complaint from the lady. Investigation is on to trace her son,” said the GRP IIC Soubhagya Swain.
