5 Odisha girls to join national football camp

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) has selected five women footballers for the 4-day National U-14 selection camp at Trivandrum in Kerala beginning from February 1.

The five players—Sanjukta Tirkey, Srijana Tamang (Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel), Subhadra Nayak (Nita Ambani Football Academy), Eva Panna (Sundargarh) and Suman Pragyan Mohapatra (Cuttack)—would leave on Thursday to join the national camp.

The selected players from the national camp would stay for one month at Kerala for the preparation of a national team for the ensuing AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship-2014.

Prior to this, 30 players had participated in the state selection camp held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on January 23.
