5-year-old boy tests COVID-19 positive in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A five-year-old boy of Odisha’s Jharsuguda has tested positive for COVID-19, informed district Collector Saroj Kumar Samal today.

Family members of the boy, who is a resident of Mangal Bazar, have been home-quarantined after their return form outside the state, the official said.

“There is nothing to panic about it. Health condition of the family members of the boy is being constantly monitored,” he said.

As per information, all of them had returned from Agra on  May 16 and were placed under home quarantine. Their swab samples were collected on May 19 for COVID-19 test while the boy tested positive for the virus today.

Earlier, the district had reported two COVID-19 positive cases. Both of them had later recovered from the disease and were discharged from COVID hospital.
