57 babies born to COVID-19 infected mothers in Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: Good news! As many as 57 babies have so far been born to COVID-19 infected mothers in Odisha’s hotspot district Ganjam. And, all of them are healthy and have no symptoms of the deadly disease.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took to Twitter and expressed his happiness over this.

While the newborns have no symptoms of Coronavirus, all the mothers have recovered from the disease after undergoing treatment at various COVID hospitals in the district,

Meanwhile, the situation in the southern district is gradually improving. As per official sources the positivity rate came down to 3.50% on August 12 from 14.89 % on August 1. Besides, the recovery rate in the district increased from 68.8 % on August 1 to 82.20 % on August 12, said an official.
