5T: Odisha CM launches Farmers’ Database

Bhubaneswar: Under the 5T initiative of the Odisha Government, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the State Farmers’ Database which will benefit around 76 lakh farmers.

The CM also launched other related online services like e-licensing for agri input dealers and issuance of online certificates to OUAT students.

“Inclusion of 76 lakh farmers in the database is a good initiative. Specific identity cards will be issued to the farmers using which they can easily and quickly avail various facilities offered by the government,” said Patnaik.

The scrutinisation process for issuing the identity cards will be completed within 100 days.

With the launch of the online services, the farmers need not to come to the government offices repeatedly for getting the services, he said.
