6-year-old Odisha girl raped; one held
Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Hemagir of Sundargarh district. The police today arrested a youth in connection with the case and forwarded him to the court.
As per the complaint, the six-year-old girl had gone to a nearby shop to buy ice cream at around 1:30 pm on Friday. A youth, Laba Khadia, aged 21, picked up the minor girl child while she was returning home. The accused then forcibly took the six-year-old to the nearby forest and raped her.

The minor girl child somehow returned home and narrated her ordeal before family members.
Based on a complaint filed by the minor girl child’s family, the police arrested Laba Khadia under the POCSO Act and forwarded him to the court.
