618 new COVID-19 cases in Odisha; here’re district-wise figures

Bhubaneswar: As many as 618 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha in the last last 24 hours taking the tally to 14,898,  informed the Government.

While 411 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres, remaining 207 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The fresh cases have been reported from 22 districts: highest from Ganjam (286), Khordha (107), Cuttack (16), Jajpur (5), Sundargarh (15), Balasore (61), Jagatsinghpur (26), Mayurbhanj (21), Puri (5), Keonjhar (5), Kendrapada (9), Bhadrak (1), Nayagarh (15), Balangir (2), Malkangiri (13), Koraput (1), Jharsuguda (1), Rayagada (1), Angul (14), Sambalpur (10), Dhenkanal (2) and Boudh (2).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 4933. However, 9864  patients have recovered in the state so far.

In the last 24 hours, 6598 swab samples were tested. So far 3,53, 824 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state.
