63 goats found dead, 28 injured in unidentified wild animal attack in Odisha’s Gajapati
While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be established, villagers suspect the goats were attacked by unidentified wild animals.
Kashinagar: Panic gripped locals after as many as 63 goats were found dead and 28 grievously wounded in Kidinga village under Kashinagar block of Odisha’s Gajapati district here today. While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be established, villagers suspect the goats were attacked by unidentified wild animals. On getting the information, chairperson of Gajapati zilla parishad G Tirupati Rao reached the spot and apprised the district administration of the issue while directing nessary action at the earliest. Police and forest personnel too were asked to exercise vigilance and find out the cause of attacks.
Meanwhile, a team of veterinary doctors have arrived and are treating the injured goats. Further investigation is underway.
