8-yr old girl raped by minor in Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, an eight-year old girl was allegedly raped by another minor boy in Sundargarh district of Odisha here today.

The incident took place within Sundargarh town police limits. As per reports, the minor victim’s father had passed away recently. She was living with her mother who was a daily wage labourer. On Saturday, the girl was alone at home after her mother left for work when her neighbour, a minor too, went and raped her. The girl’s aunt saw the minor boy committing the act and immediately informed the mother who reached the place and took her to the hospital.

On the other hand, the accused boy’s father reportedly refused to cooperate with the police and go for interrogation.

Till reports last came in, no complaint had been filed as the mother of the victim was still in the hospital.
