Bhubaneswar: With 92 more children between 0-18 age group, Odisha registered 652 new COVID-19 positive cases in last 24 hours, informed the State Information & Public Relation (I&PR) Department today.
Of fresh cases reported from 24 districts, 380 persons infected with the deadly virus were from different quarantines and 272 were the local contacts.
Total 66,643 samples were tested yesterday, of which 652 were found positive. With this, the COVID TPR now stands at 0.97% in the State.
The fresh COVID cases marginally increased in Khordha district. The district recorded 331 new cases, the highest in terms of single-day infection, followed by Cuttack district with 70 cases in last 24 hours.
