AAP candidate alleges harassment by police

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate contesting from Cuttack Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha,  Bikash Das, in a complaint to the Returning Officer, has accused a police officer of harassing him during campaigning for the April 17 polls, official sources said.

Das has alleged that he and his supporters were harassed by an inspector of the Kanpur police station of the Badamba Assembly constituency.

In his petition to the Returning Officer (RO) and Cuttack collector, Das has complained that he and his party workers were detained by the concerned police officer for more than two hours during campaigning on Monday accusing them of not possessing the requisite permission to do so, sources said.
