Abandoned 10-day old baby girl rescued by Good Samaritan in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Dec 10:

A 10-day old baby girl abandoned by her mother Alta Saha, a distressed woman, near the Satya Nagar overbridge in the Odisha capital, was rescued by some locals on Wednesday evening.

Though police are yet to find the truth from the distressed mother, Deepak Pradhan, the person who rescued the baby, said Saha was trying to dump the baby near the bridge. “On seeing this, I, along with my sister, rescued the infant,” he said.

“We brought the baby and the mother to the local police immediately,” said Pradhan.

Th epoliice have sent the mother and child to the Missionaries of Charity located in Satya Nnagar.
