Mumbai: Two years after the mysterious death of Hindi film actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a mortuary employee of Cooper Hospital, who was present during the postmortem, has claimed that it was a case of murder not suicide.
Mortuary worker Roopkumar Shah has said that he had suggested his seniors to videograph the postmortem of the actor’s body.
As per reports, Shah claimed that there were beating marks and injury marks on the actor’s body.
In an interview with TV9 Marathi, Shah claimed that there were deep injury marks on Sushant’s neck and other parts of the body. It seemed as if the hands and legs of the actor were broken due to beating, Shah said.
“When I saw Sushant’s body, I told the seniors that I think it is not suicide but murder. The entire post-mortem should have been videographed, but sir said he wanted to work on the photographs and hand over the body as soon as possible,” Said Shah as quoted by TV9 Hindi.
Notably, Sushant was found dead at his home in Bandra area of Mumbai on June 14, 2020. The incident has been ruled as a suicide by the CBI. However, the central agency is yet to file the closer report in the matter, source said.
