Bhubaneswar: After a long time of over seven months, Odisha’s single-day COVID-19 tally slipped below 100 today. With 99 fresh cases detected in last 24 hours, the state’s total caseload today further surged to 3,34,529.
The state had reported below 100 single-day Covid-19 positive cases last on June 6, 2020.
Expressing pleasure, Health and Family Welfare Department said, “The state’s single-day positive cases have fallen below 100 for the first time since June 6, 2020. All credit goes to the tireless efforts of our Covid Warriors.”
Of the 99 fresh cases detected from 19 districts, 58 have been reported from different quarantine centres while 41`are local contact cases. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Sundargarh recorded highest 20 fresh cases followed by Khordha (14)
Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 1,286 and recovered cases at 3,31,284.
