Air Odisha to fly to Kalahandi starting May 1

A day after conducting a successful trial run to Kalahandi, Bhubaneswar based air service operator Air Odisha announced to offer regular flights to Kalahandi starting May 1.

According to the company sources, its nine-seater plane yesterday successfully took off from the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) of Bhubaneswar and landed at the Utkela air strip in Kalahandi.

Air Odisha founder Santosh Pani and Junagarh MLA Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra were aboard the plane during the trial run.

Notably, subsidized by the State Government, the company is already offering flights to Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Sambalpur and Jeypore.
