All railway stations in Odisha now equipped with LED lightings

Bhubaneswar: All railway stations in Odisha under the East Coast Railway (ECoR) Division are now equipped with 100 per cent LED lightings, an official release said.

ECoR’s 319 Railway Stations and Passenger Halts– 134 Stations under Khurda Road Division, 118 Railway Stations under Waltair Division and 67 Stations under Sambalpur Railway Division– are now equipped with cent percent LED lightings.

The East Coast Railway has installed about 41041 LED bulbs with an expectation of saving Rs 1.33 crore annually. Notably, the Indian Railways had planned to make all the stations 100 per cent LED-lit to cut power consumption.
