Ama Odisha’s blood donation campaign gets huge success in 2021

Bhubaneswar: Blood donation drive by ‘Ama Odisha’ was highly successful in the year 2021 as it organised campaigns in all 314 blocks of the state.

In what could be termed as a record achievement, as many as 43,431 blood units were collected from 958 blood donation camps by Ama Odisha.

Despite the prevailing COVID-19 situation, Ama Odisha managed to carry out the campaigns, ensuring availability of blood to the needy patients at various hospitals in the state.

The organisation has been conducting the noble work for the last 16 years with collection of whopping 6,93,018 blood units from 13,943 blood donation camps.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had felicitated Ama Odisha president Soumya Ranjan Patnaik in 2017 for his immense contribution to the society through blood donation campaigns.

Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Khandapada MLA, BJD leader and editor of Sambad, has been active in the field of blood donation by organizing many blood donation camps across Odisha.
