Ambulance overturns in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj, 4 critically injured

Baripada: An 108-ambulance carrying a patient overturned at Belam Chhak under Badasahi police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district today leaving four persons grievously injured.

According to reports, the ill-fated ambulance met with accident while it was on the way to Baripada hospital from Udala hospital carrying a patient, who was bitten by a snake.

A person riding a motorcycle came in front of the ambulance following which the ambulance driver applied brake instantly as a result of which the four-wheeler skidded off the road and turned turtle.

The driver, an ambulance staff, the patient and a relative of the patient sustained critical injuries in the accident. Locals rescued the victims and sent them to the Baripada hospital by another ambulance.
